Ingredients

1/2 kg chicken

100 ml onion paste

50 ml yogurt

1 teaspoon coriander powder

3-4 teaspoons salt (to taste)

1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon garlic paste

1 teaspoon ginger paste

100 ml oil

1-1 1/2 teaspoon salt (as per taste)

100 ml tomatoes, ground

1-2 green chilies, chopped

1 teaspoon garam masala

2 green cardamom seeds

1 small cinnamon stick

10 black peppercorns

6-8 cloves

1/4 teaspoon cumin seed

Directions

1Fry onion paste in oil to light brown.

2Add ginger, garlic paste, yogurt, coriander seeds powder, chili powder, Turmeric powder, tomato, and salt.

3Mix and fry briefly and then add the chicken.

4Mix it and let it cook for 10-15 minutes till the chicken becomes tender and the desired consistency of curry is achieved. (add water only to have the required consistency).

5Garnish with green chilies, green coriander (dhaniya) leaves and garam masala.

6Serve with naan or boiled rice.
